A Nashville-based fiddler, composer, and arranger, Kate has over fourteen years of experience playing violin.  She is classically trained, but she also specializes in country, bluegrass, and Celtic.  More than a fiddler, however, she also writes music varying from bluegrass tunes to orchestral compositions, and she has experience creating arrangements ranging from orchestral scores to jazz band charts.  Currently a second-year graduate student at Belmont University studying Commercial Music with an emphasis in Media Writing/Arranging, she has performed with artists such as Ricky Skaggs, The Isaacs, Cody Fry, Ben Rector, Andrea Bocelli, Trisha Yearwood, CeCe Winans, Michael W. Smith, Russell Dickerson, Matt Maher, and Mo Pitney.  She has also performed at the Grand Ole Opry as part of the Belmont Bluegrass Ensemble, The Bluebird Cafe with John Zdrojeski, and 3rd & Lindsley with Aubrey Nicole.  Are you looking for the next addition to your writer’s room, recording project, tour, live show, or other event?  Consider getting to know Kate Ward.
